FDA and compounding
FDA approved in multiple forms: glucagon emergency kits (animal derived from 1960 and recombinant from 1998), nasal glucagon (Baqsimi, July 2019), ready to use liquid glucagon autoinjector and prefilled syringe (Gvoke, September 2019), and dasiglucagon (Zegalogue, March 2021), with generic glucagon kits approved from 2020. All are prescription only. Glucagon is not compounded and is not on any FDA bulks list.
